Andrômeda — Universo Sem Fim
Andromeda astronomy light show

I spent months studying astronomy to conceive this work. Not as a scientist, but as an artist trying to understand the visual structure of cosmic phenomena — how a nebula forms, what visually defines a supernova, the way galaxies move. This process of decomposition and translation allowed me to work with space as raw material, building each layer of light and movement based on its precise relationship to the whole.

The experience unfolds in two moments. In Cosmos, the first environment, the visitors’ presence modulates the space — the body creates a unique choreography with the luminous projections through presence sensors. Right after, Andrômeda develops as a 17-minute immersive journey where nebulae, supernovae, and galaxies take form, redefining the architecture of Farol Santander through projected light.

The original score by artist Juvi establishes the rhythmic foundations that guide the entire experience, creating a sonic dimension that amplifies spatial perception. The construction process brought together AYA’s multidisciplinary team — motion designers, 3D artists, architects, programmers, and technicians working in sync. Antonio Curti’s curation designed the script and creative direction that gave final form to the narrative.
